Mark Sprenger
Business Advisor
Mark Sprenger has engaged in purpose-driven businesses for over 40 years. Beginning with a 17-year firefighting career, Mark went on to be the Founder of one of the largest independent emergency response publishing companies in America. During his 22-year publishing career, over 5.5 million firefighters, law enforcement, military, and emergency medical personnel were trained through his accredited video, textbook, and Blended e-Learning curriculums.
In addition to Mark’s business achievements, he has vigorously supported international humanitarian work for the last 30 years. Actively assisting and supporting projects in over 26 countries, his mission has been to partner with organizations that are dedicated to alleviate suffering and bring holistic, sustainable transformation amongst the world’s poorest and most oppressed, including widows, orphans, street kids, and the persecuted.
Mark Sprenger describes himself as “an American patriot who loves this country as well as the men and women who have served it so well.” Mark brings an added dimension of executive leadership and service passion to the Vets Retreat organization.

Mark Wallace
Education / Business
J. Mark Wallace is a retired teacher and school administrator. He served in public education for 37 years. He worked as a teacher, coach, planetarium director, assistant principal, principal and retired after nine years as Assistant Superintendent of School Operations.
He has worked with students, parents, school boards throughout his career. He was the owner and manager of Wallace Tractor and Implement that conducted business throughout West Texas.
He was in a Construction partnership contracting to restore FHA houses back to specification and resale. Since 1989, he and his wife worked a commercial sheep and goat operation. He has also authored several books about geology and local history.

Brian B Barrett
Programs Advisor
Brian Barrett has travelled the world as a minister, guest speaker and musician. He has had the pleasure of coordinating special events and entertainment services for such entities as Verizon, Major League Baseball, the Ryder Cup, Harley Davidson, the U.S. Postal Service, NASCAR, Citibank and many more.
He has worked for over 25 years in ministry; leading humanitarian construction projects in the Appalachian area of the U.S. as well as an extended stay in Krakow, Poland as a training leader and advisor teaching English classes to students and adults.
He and his family live in Cranfills Gap, Texas where he counsels and ministers to families as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church.

Linda Zamora
Accounting
Linda has worked for over 30 years in the travel industry with different back room accounting system. This experienced will be a great asset in ensuring that we maintain all of the records that are required for any Non Profit Organization.

Jeannie Greer
Special Services
Jeannie is retired from American Airlines where she has worked in different customer service positions. Jeannie will be able to utilize that training in assisting the different personalities that we will have as guest.

Katrina Barrett
Accounting
Katrina is a graduate of Oregon State University. Katrina comes to us from Tennessee working with the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. Katrina has been involved with starting several different churches in Peru, Poland and different cities in the United States. Katrina has also worked in the Banking Industry.

Steve Mix
Founder
Steve is a Vietnam Veteran and a humanitarian living in Texas. He founded Vetsretreat with a vision of helping Veterans and their families to reunite when their tour of duty has been completed. The plight of Homeless Veterans trying to get back on their feet and claim the life they deserve is also part of our focus, we want to assist these Veterans in making the right contacts and connecting them with programs that are already offering the types of programs that will help them on this difficult journey.
